Whatever you wrote about your aunt's grandma has come out well in this painting. F/V

Artist's Description

This is a painting I did for my Aunt Yvonne Salazar Shinas. She wanted me to paint her Grandma Kate Duran who lived at 328 1/2 Rosario in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she raised her family of 9 children. My Aunt Yvonne often expressed to me how much she loved her Grandma Kate. How she remembers every detail of her grandma's kitchen: the roses that grew outside of the window, the old stove that always had chile or chicos cooking on it, and the 1950s style table they shared their meals on. I was extremely close to my own grandma, so doing this painting for my Aunt Yvonne was a real pleasure for me to paint! See my work at my website www.VictoriaDeAlmeida.com.
