Artist's Description

I really enjoy painting cats. They have really beautiful eyes (which are always a trademark in my work) and a sense of wildness in their natures that I find enduring. Being a native New Mexican I wanted to paint a piece that showed cats enjoying the traditions and culture of my beautiful state! Purple cat is a NM cowboy, Green Cat is Native American selling his beautiful jewelry, Orange Cat is Fiesta Queen (Que viva!) Red Cat is enjoying a traditional New Mexican meal of a burrito smothered in red chile, pinto beans and a margarita, and Blue Cat is playing mariachi music!I was born and raised in the beautiful state of New Mexico.
