Artist's Description

This is my ode to my favorite artist, Frida Kahlo (1907-1954). My joking title of this piece is "Kissing Ass". Frida is blowing a kiss to her darling burro. Burros were a very big part of peoples lives because of their versatility as transport and pack animals. Often their gentle nature made them very beloved to the families who owned them. Children would attach small wagons to them and ride around. Victoria de Almeida is an award-winning native New Mexico folk painter living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. www.VictoriaDeAlmeida.com
